Do You Need to Lose 10 Pounds? Why Not Do it in One Month?

You can lose 10 pounds in one month. Stay sane, safe and hunger free. It can be done without starving yourself. Do you want to try it? Click Here!

Remember all those fad diets we tried in college and high school? We ate 9 boiled eggs one day, 9 bananas the next day and 9 wieners the next day. This diet was one of monotony and we figured we would get tired of the food quickly and then eat less food the next day. Do you know I stuck it out to the end and I did not lose a pound.

What about the diet of diet soda and carrot and celery sticks? Remember how boring it was? We thought it would be easy to remember and easy to stick with. Before the day was over, we got everything out of the refrigerator we could find and we devoured it. So much for that diet! Click Here!

It is evident that the empty plate scenario does not work. It left us high and dry and we lost not one pound! The key to weight loss is to avoid the empty plate scenario. We do not want to starve ourselves because we know it does not work. We want foods that fill you up without filling you out!

So we need lots of foods high in fiber, water and protein. We can fill our plate with these items and we will see lots of food on our plates and we will feel full. Also, those foods high in fiber, water and protein are also high in nutrients and that makes our diet healthy and filling. Click Here!

You can stick to a 1200 calorie a day plan and still lose 10 pounds per month! Health experts and medical professionals recommend women stick to losing 1 to 2 pounds per week., but the more weight you need to lose, the faster you will lose! Make sure you follow the 1200 calories per day plan because going lower than 1200 calories can slow your metabolism, making it even harder for you to lose weight. Click Here!

Here are three (3) keys to successful weight loss…
1. Drink lots of water, at least 8 glasses or 60 ounces per day.
Water fills you up. It makes you feel full and causes you to eat less. Also foods that contain a large amount of water have less calories in them. For example, a cup of cooked potatoes has 135 calories, but a cup of cooked cauliflower has only 30 calories. Click Here!

2. Protein is very important in weight loss.
Lean protein increases feelings of fullness and can lead to fewer calories taken in during the day. So make sure you eat lean protein such as skinless chicken or turkey, tofu, legumes, fish and low-fat dairy products. Click Here!

3. Eat lots of fiber.
Fiber really fills you up. Fiber digests slowly and it leaves the stomach feeling fuller longer. It also promotes good bowel habits, which helps to prevent bloating. You can easily switch a few items in your diet and increase your fiber intake. For example, mix a high fiber cereal with your usual kind or sprinkle some fiber on your garden salad. Click Here!

Follow these three steps and increase your water intake, your amount of protein, and the amount of fiber you eat and watch the pounds melt away. Click Here!

Happy dieting! Fill your plate with fiber and melt off the pounds!

I Am Always Hungry! What Can I Do?

It is the woeful cry of most dieters! I crave sweets or fried foods or carbohydrates! I am always hungry! I can eat day and night and I still seem to be hungry! Click Here!

What can I do? How can I stop eating? Click Here!

Well, if you seem to always be hungry, researchers have discovered one thing you can do to stop that hungry feeling. I am going to tell you what that is, but I will also mention that it does not help stop the stressful eating binge we sometimes fall victim to! If you eat because you are stressed that is an entirely different thing from always being hungry! Click Here!

Anyway, here is a fix for always being hungry! Eat more dietary fiber known as resistant starches! What are resistant starches, you ask. It is fiber that resists being digested. You feel full longer and therefore you eat less! Click Here!

If you load up your diet with these digestion resistant fibers, you will stay full longer, feel full longer and eat less in the long run! The results will be weight loss.

There are three kinds of fiber: soluble, insoluble and resistant starch: Click Here!

Soluble fiber like pectins, gums, mucillages, and some hemicellulose help lower blood cholesterol levels and control blood sugar.

Insoluble fiber such as cellulose, lignan and hemicellulose provide bulking and helps keep us "regular."

Resistant Starch is insoluble but is fermented like soluble fiber which gives us some of the health benefits of both, plus some unique advantages of its own. Click Here!

Since it is important you eat all three kinds of fiber, you probably would like to know where you find them. Here is a list:

Soluble fiber is found in oatmeal, barley and rye; beans, peas and lentils; fresh and dried fruits, and most vegetables.

Insoluble fiber is found in the skins and seeds of fruits and vegetables, in wheat bran and in whole grains, including popcorn.

Resistant starch is found in whole grains, seeds, legumes, under-ripe fruit, and is especially prevalent in cooked starches that have been cooled such as pasta salad, potato salad and sushi rice. It can also be found in packaged foods that contain selected new ingredients designed to provide resistant starch. Click Here!

Load up your diet with all of these types of fibers, especially those rich in resistant starches since it is an easy way to control both hunger and blood sugar levels.

So eat those carbohydrates that are resistant to digestion and you will find yourself full longer which means you are hungry less often and you lose weight! Click Here!

Have a great week and remember the power phrase for the week is "indigestible fiber" or "resistant Starch!"

What Must I do To Lose Weight?

You want to know what to do to lose weight? I guess you mean short of slitting my throat, what do I have to do to lose weight, right? Click Here!

Well, it won't do any good to slit your throat. All that does is let you bleed to death rather fast! You will still die fat! So we need another plan!

So here it is. A plan you can live through! The best 8 steps for losing weight. No blood shed! You can emerge a slimmer, trimmer You! Click Here!

* Number 1 Do not plan on doing a crash diet.
When you lose weight rapidly your body is only losing carbohydrates and water weight. The fat is still clinging to you! Your body thinks it is starving and it lowers your metabolic rate so you lose slower! It is harder for your body to burn one calorie and if you start eating again, your body stores the food and you end up fatter!

* Number 2 Do not eliminate foods from your diet. Substitute foods lower in calories.
Try substituting low calorie foods for some high calorie ones and see the difference. Experiment until you find something tasty and lower in calories that you can substitute for foods you normally eat.

* Number 3 Watch what you drink.
If you drink soda, stop it! Most people who drink sodas drink two or three in a day and that is about 360 calories for three. These are empty calories and have no nutritional value. Drink water or no calorie drinks instead. Click Here!

* Number 4 Eat a healthy diet and exercise. Exercise is the key to burning calories faster.
The American College of Sports Medicine recommends 30-45 minutes of moderate aerobic exercise daily. Get off the couch. Get up and get going. Start moving!

* Number 5 Make gradual changes. Don't try to make several major changes all at once.
Start by leaving a little food on your plate. You don't have to eat everything on your plate even though your mother told you to clean it. What little you leave on your plate you will never miss but it can help you to start eating less and losing weight. Click Here!

*Number 6 Do not overeat. Stop when you are full.
Slow down. Chew your food. Do not just throw the food into your mouth and immediately get a spoonful and throw it in your mouth also. Most of us eat like we are running a race to see who can clean their plate first. We don't even taste the food. We just inhale it!

* Number 7 Do not banish certain foods when you diet.

Don't mentally limit what you cannot eat. When you start a diet and mentally tell yourself that you can not eat any more Bluebell Homemade Vanilla ice cream, you immediately start craving it. It is better to tell yourself you will make a decision about whether or not to eat it when the cravings hit. This leaves it open to eat it or not, but you can make the decision then. It is a positive way to handle it and you are less likely to rebel against the diet. When we tell ourselves we can never have something, we immediately rebel against the diet and start feeling sorry for ourselves. Click Here!

We resent thinking we can never have a food we love!

* Number 8 Tell yourself you are on this diet for the long term!
Begin this diet with the attitude that you will be on the plan long term. Tell yourself this is a lifestyle change. This helps you mentally to accept that you are in the plan for the long haul. Once you accept this, you will be better off.

There you have it. If you just follow these rules, you can do whatever you set your mind to do. Just take the bull by the horns and get started today? Click Here!

Happy Dieting!

A Simple Plan!

I want to talk some more about this diet by Tim Ferriss. I am still working on doing the 20 pounds in thirty (30) days Click Here!
He states it is possible to do this with diet, exercise and a supplement regimen. I don’t really care about losing 20 pounds that fast. I would be happy with ten (10) pounds!

This diet is a variation of the “slow carb” diet. Click Here!

It really is a simple diet. All I have to do is remember these four (4) things:

No white carbohydrates.
Eat the same foods over and over. This keeps it simple.

Do not drink your calories. Eat them but do not drink them. Drink water, tea or coffee, no cream, no sugar, no sodas. Click Here!

Choose one day a week. Take that day OFF! Eat and drink whatever you want that day!

Remember to eat from this list of foods. If you go out to eat, substitute a salad or veggies for potatoes or rice. Click Here!

PROTEINS: egg whites with one whole egg for flavor, chicken breast or thigh, grass- fed organic beef, and pork

LEGUMES: lentils, black beans, pinto beans

VEGGIES: spinach, asparagus, peas, mixed veggies

Eat all of these you want and eat four (4) or five (5) meals per day.

On your day off you can eat cake, candy, chips, whatever you want to eat!

Mix and match foods from the list of foods you can eat . Have fun ! Remember life goes on whether you are skinny or FAT! Enjoy every moment because it does not last long!

God Bless!

I'm Swimming In a Sea of Food!

Everywhere I look I see food. I sometimes think I am hallucinating, but then if I am why is it that I can walk over and get a plate of food and eat it? There is no easy way to diet. I do not care what anyone says, it takes a lot of stamina to say NO to the foods you love day after day! Click Here!

How does it happen that food gets such a hold on you? For years I was thin but one day I woke up fat and I have been fighting the fat everyday since. I have been on diet after diet ever since. It never lasts. I lose some pounds, gain more back. Then I weigh more than I did to start out with.Click Here!

This time I am trying to change the way I eat period. I am eating healthy, low fat or no fat food, with a few of the good carbs thrown in. I am staying away from sugar, sodas, and all sugary foods like ice cream. Boy do I miss it. I am eating veggies, fruits, whole wheat bread and some proteins. After I stay off the sugar and fried foods for a while it gets easier and I do not miss it so much. I have even lost some weight. Click Here!

I read a lot and last week I read that drinking water can boost your metabolism and help you shed pounds. It stressed that a lot of times we think we are hungry and actually, we are thirsty. There have been studies done that show drinking about a pint of water boosts your metabolism by as much as 24 to 30 percent. Based on this study, drinking this much water over the period of a year could burn about 18000 calories which would burn 5 pounds in a year. This is another reason to drink water.

You know a great way to eat your veggies is in those steamer bags. They are easy to carry for lunch and easy to steam and even easier to eat! They taste good and they fill you up. Fruits are great for you to eat also. If I cannot find fresh fruit, I buy frozen and they taste fresh once you thaw them. Lunch for me is a steamer bag of veggies and some fruit for dessert. Click Here!

I have been doing this for about the last 7 months and I have lost 56 pounds. But let me tell you one thing, do not get off the diet. Once you get off and start eating all that junk food and sweet stuff again, it is hard to get back on the diet and you will gain weight. So do not even think about getting off the diet. stay on it and get thin!

This is a few tips to you from me! I just want you to know if there was a way to eat everything you love, and lose weight I would be on it! The best way to do it, is get on a diet and stick with it and you will grow thin! Click Here!

So Happy dieting!

Life on a Diet! Pass the Salad Please!

Another day one ounce lighter! Boy what a difference that makes. I feel thinner already. Only the rest of my life to go!

It is not a diet. Click Here!It is a way of life! Boy that makes it easier to take! Whatever you say. Whatever you call it. It is still a diet! Why is it when I think diet, I automatically want ice cream? Get over it!

I am eating healthy one day and fasting the next. It is easier than living 7 days on a diet. Click Here! It works for me so I deal with it. One day I will be thin again.

I have decided that eating is an addiction. I am a food addict! I love most foods and ice cream, in particular. There is nothing in the world that tastes as good as Blubell Homemade Vanilla Ice cream! But there are several things I must do to get thin and here they are:
* Stay away from sugar.
* Eat lots of vegetables. Steamed veggies are very healthy and good for you.
* Eat 3 fruits per day.
* Stay away from fats, especially trans fats and saturated fats.
* Eat soup and salads. Use low fat salad dressings.
* Exercise.

I can do this because I want to do this. I will feel better and be healthier! Click Here!

So pass the salad please and have some yourself!

Have a great day and take care.

Make Mine a Banana Split Please!

I know I am on a diet. I am on a mission to lose weight. It is the most difficult thing I have ever done. I quit smoking 20 years ago with less pain than I have with dieting. When I think the word diet, I immediately think Banana Split. Click Here!

Split my banana in half lengthwise and top it with 3 different kinds of ice cream and top it off with whip cream. I will have my banana all dressed up if you please. Oh, yeah, don't forget the pecans. Click Here!

In my life as a fat woman I have spent 75% of that time trying to get thin! Click Here! I have not succeeded yet. I keep trying but I can relate to an alcoholic or a drug addict. I am addicted to food. All kinds of food. I think diet and I want a buffet table set up with hamburgers, French fries, fried fish, baked potatoes, sour cream, cheese, chicken fried steak, ice cream, bananas split lengthwise, pecan pie, pumpking pie, potato salad, BBQ ribs, pork loin, everythimg. All kinds of food. Bring it on right now!

Why should I go on a diet? Click Here! I love food too much to think about dieting. I gave up smoking but I cannot give up my food. I know I weigh too much, my cholesterol is too high, my blood sugar levels are skewed, my blood pressure is too high and I am pre- diabetic. However, that is all that is wrong with me. Otherwise I am perfectly healthy.

But I keep remembering what the doctor said. You have to get hold of yourself. You have to lose weight, get your cholesterol lower and your blood pressure lower and and etc...

I might as well crawl in a hole and die! Well at least I can eat until I die. Hi, I am Lucy Peacock. I hold teaching credentials and math degree. Click Here!

But I might die sooner if I do not get on a diet, right? So I will give it one more shot. I will try that low GI diet Click Here! I have been reading about. It is suppose to help me lose weight, lower cholesterol and blood sugar levels, and blood pressure. I can probably lose 20 pounds in a week. So here goes.
